Pine Lakes Begins Offering Brunch July 18, Launches New Clubhouse Menu

Known as the Granddaddy, Pine Lakes is one of Myrtle Beach’s iconic golf courses, but that shouldn’t obscure the fact the clubhouse restaurant, which is open to the public, delivers a dining experience residents, guests and golfers are flocking to.

Led by executive chef Martin Graham, Pine Lakes offers far more than just “good golf course” food. The venerable club rivals the restaurants Myrtle Beach golfers and vacationers enjoy so much, and the dining experience is about to get even better.

Beginning July 18, Pine Lakes will begin hosting a monthly Sunday Brunch and the restaurant is unveiling a new menu. The Sunday Brunch will debut on July 18 with a buffet highlighted by chicken and waffles, an omelet station, garden salad bar, sour cream mashed potatoes, lemon dill broiled salmon, eggs benedict with hollandaise, fresh baked biscuits, blintzes with mixed berry compote, a dessert bar and much more (see complete brunch menu below).

Brunch will be $29.95 for adults and $15.95 for children. Pine Lakes will also host brunch on August 22 and September 26. To make reservations call 843-315-7718 or email Mary.Bell@foundersgolf.com.

The daily menu at Pine Lakes has received an upgrade as well. The new menu features an assortment of salads, including the Asian tuna salad, which serves seared yellowfin tuna over mixed greens with sweet red peppers, red onions, chow mein noodles, toasted cashews and mandarin oranges.

The original Pine Lakes chowder and homemade chili will highlight the soup offerings and there are 14 sandwiches on the menu, ranging from a grilled chicken flatbread to a steak wrap and hamburger.

Diners can enjoy a meal inside the historic clubhouse or on a porch overlooking the Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame and the course.

The clubhouse at Pine Lakes Country Club is on the National Registry of Historic Places and it’s the birthplace of Sports Illustrated, adding to the charm of eating at the Granddaddy.
