At the forefront of the player-staff safety movement is the Founders Collection, Myrtle Beach’s largest golf course ownership group. Founders counts Grande Dunes Resort Club, TPC Myrtle Beach, King’s North at Myrtle Beach National and Pawleys Plantation among its stable of 21 courses, and the company has been proactive from the outset.
Below are the guidelines for play the Founders Collection Courses have implemented
— Entire staff – inside and outside – are wearing sanitation gloves
— Staff will not be handling any golf bags
— Carts are being sanitized right before and immediately following each round
— High-traffic areas and public touch points are being sanitized multiple times per day
— Water coolers have been removed from the course and paper starting tickets have been eliminated
— Golfers are allowed to walk at courses where it makes sense
— Increased sanitation of practice facilities
— Pool noodles are used in all cups and flagsticks are left in the holes
–Credit card is the preferred method of payment and prepayment is encouraged
–Sand bottles and other cart accessories have been removed
–Bunker rakes have been removed
–F&B Operations are following all of the DHEC guidelines in place
–Golf Staff is enforcing all social distancing guidelines
